Part (1):
Association membership consists of all Arab Pediatric Pulmonologists who have registered on line into www.appulmonologists.com/join-appa before January 1st 2009; they represent the founders of the Association. New members join the Association according to the regulations outlined below.
Part (2):
Members are three categories: staff members, honorary members, and associate members.
Part (3):
Staff memberships are limited to those doctors and health care providers interested in pediatric pulmonary diseases and are living in the Arab Countries.
Part (4):
Staff members have the right to occupy managerial positions and to vote for election of officials and for all matters presented to the General Assembly.
Part (5):
Staff members are appointed by two regular members of the Association after applying for membership. It has to be finally approved by the Executive Committee and the General Assembly of the Association.
Part (6):
Honorary members are nominated by the Executive Committee and approved by the General Assembly in its meeting.
Part (7):
Associate members are Arab doctors and health care providers working in the area of pediatric pulmonary diseases as well those non-Arab doctors working in this field of specialty if recommended by two members of the Association.
Part (8):
Honorary members and associate members do not have the right to vote in Executive Committee. Entitlement to membership of associate members and staff members is ended in the event of non-payment of fees for two consecutive years.
Part (9):
Members:
All members except honorary members have to pay membership fees defined annually by the Executive Committee upon General Secretary and cashier report. Entitlement to membership is ended in the event of non-payment of fees for two consecutive years.
Part (10):
Cancellation of membership:
Membership is cancelled in the event of resignation in writing addressed to Executive Committee, death of member, or failure to pay membership fees for two consecutive years.
